Dave Woodward, President & CEO


Mr. Woodward has a long history of sales, marketing, business development, and general management positions.  He was Vice President & General Manager of EFI Corporation, a manufacturer of high-pressure composite pressure vessels used primarily in firefighters’ self-contained breathing apparatus.  He has worked in large companies (Litton, Raychem) and greenfield startups (Metcal, OSD Envizion, Sentinel, Assure DigiTax, and now LightSwitch).


The majority of his experience is introducing new technology products into existing markets specializing in establishing business models and implementing marketing strategies.


Mr. Woodward earned his B.S. Degree in Business Administration from California State University at Northridge.


 

John Fergason, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer


Mr. Fergason began working in the Liquid Crystal industry at the age of 16 when he joined his father, James L. Fergason, best know as the inventor of the Twisted Nematic Liquid Crystal Display, in his company in Kent, Ohio.


Involvement in various LCD related ventures has continued to this day.  His company affiliations include American Liquid Xtal, Taliq Corporation, (Subsidiary of Raychem), Optical Shields, OSD Envizion, and Ilixco / i-O Display Systems.


During his career Mr. Fergason has done extensive work in Liquid Crystal driver electronic design, assembly level software, microcontroller design, ASIC design, mechanical design, optics mounting and design, and system integration. He has received 12 US patents in the fields of electronics, LCD design, and mechanical design and has an additional portfolio of patents pending.  Mr. Fergason has become a premier expert in his field of applied LCD technology, LCD driver electronics, and overall ADF architecture.


Mr. Fergason majored in Physics at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.


Bart Biche, Vice President, Operations


Mr. Biche has three decades of broad-based Product Development experience.   That experience includes hands-on design, Engineering Management, and Program Management.


He is experienced at converting ideas into products including all aspects from concept creation through to product release including writing and implementing a corporate product development procedure.


Mr. Biche has worked with a number of leading edge companies including Command Audio, Raychem Automotive Division, Raychem Integrated Interconnect Systems Division, Ramo Corporation, Amphenol, and Stowe Manufacturing Company.


Mr. Biche holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY


Deborah Naylor, Controller


Ms. Naylor has an extensive background in all aspects of finance, MRP systems, Inventory controls, and assists in all aspects of company operations.


Her past company affiliations include Metcal, ASP Computer Products, and CTB/McGraw-Hill.


Ms. Naylor earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University, Monterey, California

Nacho Chihuahua, CCO (Chief Canine Officer)


Nacho has been with LightSwitch only a short time.  His natural ‘take charge’ management style has everyone motivated.  He has far ranging duties including recreational diversions for the staff, disruptive annoyances as needed, coaching other employees in the art of the nap, and many other ad hoc assignments that come his way.  If you have need of advice in any of these or related management areas, please don’t hesitate to have your CCO contact Nacho.  He is always ready to help.
